  • 6:35AM - Maureen is lightly stirring/sleeping in bed.

  • 7:28AM - Maureen continues to go in and out of sleep—some leg movements and no chatting to herself.

  • Our day officially began @ 8:28AM. Maureen was a bit unresponsive this morning. Her arms were twitching a little more than normal. Maya and I decided to give her a little more time to wake up before we got her out of bed. The diaper was dry. Maya throughly cleaned Maureen with warmed wipes from the purple packet and put on a fresh pull up. There were no red marks on the posterior region.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:40AM. Maureen is now more alert and engaged. She began to list to the left as soon as we positioned her in the day chair. Maya inserted a green wedge pillow to straighter her posture. As of this moment, Maureen is sitting almost straight upright—just a little forward slump

  • 8:41AM - Thyroid pill administered.

  • Maureen will consume 1/2 a glass of prune juice this morning.

  • We will not administer any Flonase today

  • 9:00AM - Morning medications administered—blood pressure and baby aspirin.

  • Maureen coughed 2-3 times during breakfast service.

  • 9:22AM - Forward slump is beginning to occur—just slightly. Maureen continues to list to the left just a bit.

  • 9:44AM - Slumping forward has increased a bit more. Brow is beginning furrow. Drooling has begun.

  • 9:56AM - Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No. It is just super food in the form of one of Maya's organic fruit smoothies. Deliciousness defined.

  • Maureen's PT Ann arrived at 10:15AM. Click here to view a complete summary of the visit.

  • 12:21PM - Lunchtime was fast approaching. Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet. We headed to the bathroom. The pull up was soaked. The urine did not seep through to her shorts. We waited for approximately 15 minutes. Posture on the commode was reasonably good. Maureen did not do anything else while on the commode. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put on a fresh pull up. No red spots were noted on her posterior.

  • 12:45PM - Lunch—Maya served Maureen 1/2 an organic turkey sandwich with melted cheese on toasted whole wheat, a bowl of pea soup with chicken and 1/2 a sliced tomato. Maureen also consumed a 12 ounce bottle of coconut water. Posture was decent. Maya inserted a green wedge pillow to straighten Maureen. Forward slumping is happening but is not horrible.

  • 1:50PM - Maureen has been in the day chair for an hour. Due to significant slumping forward, we decided to take her to the lift recliner. Before doing so, Maya checked the pull up. It was most likely dry.

  • 2:55PM - Maya checked Maureen's pull up. It was wet—had seeped through to her shorts. We headed to the bathroom. Pull up was soaked. Maureen sat on the commode for 15 minutes. She urinated in the toiler and had a very small firm bowel movement. Maya cleaned her throughly and put on a fresh pull up. No red marks noted.

  • 3:25PM - Afternoon fruit snack.
