July 22 daytime update

• 8:00am Our morning begins. We observed redness under Maureen’s waist and her inner left thigh. We applied a layer of Nystatin under her waist. Diaper is light wet - we cleaned, changed, and applied 3M products. We next washed Maureen’s upper body using warm wipes from the purple packet. We noticed slight redness on Maureen’s left armpit.

• 8:34pm Sandy is helping Maureen through a series of stretches and exercises in bed.

• 8:58am Spoonful of Manuka honey, Flonase, and thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:05am Breakfast - banana, oatmeal, 6 oz prune juice. Maureen coughed 4 times.

• 9:32am Lisinopril and Claritin with applesauce.

• 9:43am Oral care.

• 9:51am Morning facial routine including arms and hands.

• 10:05am Sandy and I had a strong suspicion that Maureen had a bowel movement so we decided to check. She did not. Diaper is heavy wet - we cleaned and changed and returned to the kitchen. Maureen is sitting in the Geri chair down one notch to relieve pressure off her sacrum.

• 10:35am Nebulizer treatment.

• 10:50am Fruit smoothie.

• 11:06am One senna tablet administered with applesauce and a cup of water.

• 11:10am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Maureen’s diaper is light wet and she had a small, formed bowel movement. We cleaned and changed. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:18am.

• 12:18pm Rest period #1 is through. Maureen’s diaper is heavy wet and she had a small, formed bowel movement - we cleaned and changed and headed to the kitchen after.

• 12:35pm Lunch - shrimp salad, a medley of grilled vegetables, chicken and noodle soup, and a bottle of organic coconut water. Maureen coughed 3 times. Rice pudding for dessert.

• 1:37pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm We headed to the bedroom for rest period #2. Maureen’s diaper is medium wet - we cleaned and changed. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:15pm.

• During this clean and change, Sandy and I noticed that Maureen now has redness on her right inner thigh. We applied Cavilon barrier cream to the area. The other areas of redness on her left inner thigh and under her waist are now more pink than red.

• 3:15pm Rest period #2 is over. Maureen’s diaper is heavy wet - we cleaned and changed and headed to the front room.

• 3:30pm Fruit snack.
