July 10 daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is sound asleep. She is lying on her left side.

• 8:30am Maureen is still sound asleep.

• 8:43am Maureen is awake.

• 8:46am Dalia and I helped Maureen in to an upright position in bed. Administered 75 mcg Levothyroxine. Sips of water via swab after.

• 9:00am We started our day with a complete bed bath. Maureen's diaper is dry. No redness observed. We dressed, washed Maureen's hair, and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:18am Pear, cup of water, and a few sips of coffee.

• 9:28am Dalia is now drying and styling Maureen's hair.

• 9:52am Administered 10 mg Loratidine. Smoothie.

• 10:04am Oral care.

• 10:08am We headed to the front room. I reclined Maureen's chair down one notch for her comfort.

• 10:10am Nebulizer treatment with saline and Albuterol.

• 10:32am Morning facial routine.

• 11:00am Ann, Kelsie, and Megan are here for their weekly visit. Ann has advised us that moving forward, Kelsie will be replacing her as Maureen's primary nurse.

  • Ann stated that Maureen seems like she has lost weight. Left arm circumference was 25 inches, about the same measurement as last week. Going forward, Kelsie will measure the circumference of Maureen's thigh. Today's measurement was 34 inches. This measurement will serve as the baseline for future visits.

  • Vitals: Temp 98.1, BP 104/62. Lungs are clear. Kelsie recommends we continue giving Maureen one nebulizer treatment daily.

• 11:36am We headed to the bedroom for rest break #1. Maureen's diaper is wet - Dalia and I performed a clean and change. Applied Cavilon barrier film to the sacral area and Cavilon barrier cream to the perineal area. Maureen will like on her right side for one hour starting at 11:48am.

• 12:48pm Rest break #1 ends. Maureen's diaper was initially dry but during the process of helping her out of bed she urinated, resulting in a medium wet diaper. Dalia and I performed a clean and change, dressed, and headed to the kitchen.

• 1:05pm Lunch - chicken vegetable soup, hard boiled egg, guacamole, and a cup of sparkling water.

• 1:43pm Oral care.

• 1:46pm We headed to the front room. I reclined Maureen's chair down one notch. She is sitting comfortably, watching tv.

• 2:25pm Carolyn is here for a visit.

• 2:45pm We headed to the bedroom for rest break #2. Maureen's diaper is medium wet - Dalia and I performed a clean and change. Maureen will lie on her left side starting at 2:53pm.

• 3:40pm Rest break #2 ends. Diaper is medium wet - Dalia and I performed a clean and change. We dressed and headed to the front room.

• 3:51pm Fruit snack.
