  • Maureen has been awake since 6:30AM.

  • 6:45AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is dry.

  • Per Tom's suggestion, we will administer a dose of Robitussin cough syrup this morning.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is rather chatty this morning and in good form. Maureen looked rather parched. We tilted the bed to 90 degrees to give her some sips of water. She loved it. We began with a clean & change—using all three 3M Cavilon products where appropriate. Wednesday is bad bath day. All of the upper body areas of focus look great. None require the application of Nystatin Ointment.

  • Breakfast service commenced @ 8:55AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maya began with a teaspoon of Manuka honey followed immediately by the administration of the thyroid medication. Maureen coughed just twice during breakfast.

  • Maureen will consume approximately 6 ounces of prune juice today.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/4 cap

  • MiraLAX dosage and additional prune juice are intended to address the hard bowel movements Maureen has had during the last 48 hours.

  • General Observation @ 9:12AM> Maureen is definitely a little more congested than normal this morning. She is breathing through her mouth more often.

  • 9:15AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.

  • 9:17AM - Morning oral care session

  • 9:35AM - Maureen got very cold to the touch out of the blue. We checked he temperature multiple times—at least 3 times. Temp is 93.5. Blood oxygen level is 93%.

  • 9:38AM - Daily morning facial

  • 9:48AM - Temperature is now 96.7 and blood oxygen is 97%.

  • 10:00AM - Kathy arrived to team up with Maya to shampoo and style Maureen's hair.

  • 10:04AM - Temp is now 97.3.

  • 10:20AM - Shampoo and style hair by KAMA.

  • 10:50AM - Organic fruit smoothie. Maureen coughed a few times while ingesting the purple haze.

  • 12:40PM - Lunch | Shrimp salad, 1/2 bowl of homemade green pea with chicken soup and a small serving of rice pudding for dessert. Maureen also drank 1 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. Maureen coughed three times during lunch.

  • 1:10PM - Afternoon oral care

  • 1:22PM - Maya just gave Maureen her second dose of Robitussin of the day.

  • 1:30PM - We took Maureen to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. The diaper was heavy wet. Maureen had a very large formed bowel movement—it was not hard. After completing a clean & change, we positioned Maureen on her right side.

  • 1:41: Rest Break #1 begins.

  • 2:55PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Diaper is light wet. We completed a clean & change and transported Maureen to the lift recliner in the front room.

  • 3:15PM - Afternoon fruit snack. Maureen coughed three times while eating the fruit.
