  • 4:00pm Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner. Ann Emberson, RN is here for her weekly visit. Lungs are clear. Ann checked Maureen's heels and she says they look great. Vitals - BP 110/64, pulse 68, temp 98.2. Ann commented that it is appropriate for Maureen to be in bed by 6pm and that it is normal for her to be sleeping earlier at night.

  • 5:00pm Dinner - chili casserole, cup of water.

  • 5:30pm Maureen is asleep in the recliner.

  • 5:45pm Maureen woke up briefly for approximately 5 minutes and fell back to sleep after.

  • 6:20pm Maureen woke up. Administered 5mg Olanzapine with parfait and 12.5mL Vimpat.

  • 6:35pm Oral care.

  • 7:00pm We headed to the bedroom for the night. Maureen's diaper is medium wet - Tom and I performed a clean and change and applied 3M Cavilon cream. I next washed Maureen's upper body using warmed wipes from the purple packet, applied Vicks to her throat and chest, and Cetaphil moisturizing lotion to her lower extremities. Night time facial routine followed. Maureen is lying on her left side supported by two green wedge pillows.

  • Vitals @ bedtime - temp 97.2, pulse 72, O2 96%.

  • Maureen, like last night, fell asleep almost immediately after dinner in the recliner. She woke up and I was successful in giving her her night time medications. Coughing was minimal tonight and I only had to use the suction machine 3 times.
