January 12 daytime update

• 6:30AM - Maureen is awake. The diaper is dry.

• 7:00AM - Maureen remains awake. Maya checked the diaper. Her diaper is now wet.

• Maureen has been awake since 6:30AM.

• Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is rather chatty this morning and in good form. Maureen looked rather parched. We tilted the bed to 90 degrees to give her some sips of water. She loved it. We began with a clean & change—using all three 3M Cavilon products where appropriate. Wednesday is bad bath day. All of the upper body areas of focus look great. None require the application of Nystatin Ointment.

• Breakfast service commenced @ 8:50AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maya began with a teaspoon of Manuka honey followed immediately by the administration of the thyroid medication.

• Maureen will consume approximately 6 ounces of prune juice today.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

• 9:09AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.

• 9:11AM - Maya gave Maureen a dose of Robitussin cough medicine.

• 9:16AM - Morning oral care

• 9:27AM - Eyelash cleaning

• 9:30AM - Morning facial treatment

• General observation @ 9:35AM> Maureen continues to be very verbal today. She has a high level of energy.

• 9:50AM - Kathy arrived for a visit and to work with Maya to shampoo and style Maureen's hair.

• 10:35AM - Prior to the shampoo, Maya and I performed a clean and change. The diaper was medium wet. Maureen had a small soft bowel movement. 1

• 11:10AM - Organic fruit smoothie

• 12:20PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 a turkey and cheese sandwich on toasted whole wheat, 1/2 a bowl of homemade organic butternut squash soup and a serving of garlic green beans. Maureen will drink one 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during lunch. She will wrap things up with a small serving of rice pudding.

• 12:50PM - Afternoon oral care

• 1:55PM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. Maureen had a large soft (very) bowel movement. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen’s front and back sides to ensure all the feces was going. Once we completed the clean & change, Maya and I set Maureen up on her right side.

• 2:15PM - Rest Break #1 begins

• 3:10PM Rest Break #1 concludes. Diaper is medium wet. After completing a clean and change, we headed to the front room.

• 3:35PM - Fruit snack

• 3:50PM - Maya administered a dose of Robitussin cough medicine
