Friday, November 18, Daytime update

• 6:30 am-Maureen is sleeping.She is laying on her left side.

• 7:00 am -Maureen is in and out of sleep.

• 7:30 am- Maureen is still in and out of sleep.

• 8:00 ам - Maureen is slowly waking up.

• 8:30 am- Maureen is closing her eyes and is still falling asleep.

• 9:00 am - Maureen is sound asleep.

• 9:20 am- Maureen is waking up. Will give her a few more minutes and will start our day.

• 9:30 am-Our morning begins. Maureen’s diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed. The discolored patch of skin on Maureen’s sacrum that we noticed yesterday looks better, still a little brown, but doesn’t look like a pressure ulcer. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and lotion. We washed Maureen’s upper body, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:45- Breakfast time. We started with the thyroid pill in some apple sauce. Maureen had a banana, oatmeal and 8 oz of pr juice. There were 4 coughs. Lisinopril and Loratadine after breakfast with apple sauce.

• 10:15 - Morning oral care.

• 10:25 am- Washed Maureen’s eyes with baby shampoo and put eye drops.

• 10:30 am- Facial routine.

• Maureen is in a good spirit. Alert and engaging. She had a full cup of water . We reclined the geri chair one notch down.

• 11:20 am- We headed to the bedroom. Maureen’s diaper was dry. Positioned her on the right side for a rest period # 1 starting at 11:30 am.

• 12:30 pm- First rest break is over. Maureen’s diaper was medium wet. We cleaned , changed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45 pm- Lunch- blended shrimp , steamed broccoli, butternut squash soup and a bottle of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice.

• 1:20 pm- Oral care. We reclined the chair down.Maureen had another cup of water.

• 2: 00pm- We headed to the bedroom for a change and the second rest break. Maureen urinated during the cleaning process. This made the diaper heavy wet. We positioned her on the left side at 2:15 pm.

• 3:15 pm- Rest period #2 is over. Maureen’s diaper was medium wet and there was a medium formed bowel movement. We cleaned, changed and headed to the living room.

• 3:30 pm- Fruit snack.Maureen coughed 3 times.
