Friday March 29, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is awake with Tom by her bedside. He tells, she’s been in and out of sleep since 7ish and had sips of water via swab.

• 8:20am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:30am Our day starts giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Merianne and I cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum and barrier cream to inner thighs. No redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:50am Before breakfast, Maureen had 8oz prune juice with 1/4 cap of Miralax.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:05am Breakfast: oatmeal/blueberries pancake, couple spoons of Greek yogurt with few slices of banana, coffee, and a cup of lemon water. Coughed twice, releasing some phlegm on her own.

• 9:20am Administered 10mg loratadine with yogurt.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap.

• 9:40am Morning oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine performed.

• 10:30am Maureen sits relaxed and awake while watching a Christ film.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was medium wet, cleaned and changed, then positioned on her right side.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 12:45pm Blood pressure: 114/66, P 72.

• 12:50pm Lunch: Shrimp salad, potato salad, fresh avocado and cherry tomatoes, full cup of coconut water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed twice, nose was runny during meal.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch during lunch, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 1:30pm Oral care.

• Maureen stayed awake the whole time, relaxing in the Geri chair.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed, then positioned on her left side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is having her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). Also had 1/4 cup of lemon water.
