Friday August 2, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s lying on her left, already awake and receptive to sips of water via swab.

• 8:15am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to administer 75 mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:25am Merianne and I started our day by giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes, no redness observed. Wipe/clean a dry diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:40am Administered 2-50mg Senna plus (crushed) with apple sauce and a cup of lemon water.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 8:50am Breakfast: Oatmeal/blueberries pancake with fresh pear, coffee and 6oz prune juice. Coughed twice, suction pump used once.

• 9:30 Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

• Daily Miralax dosage: None, Senna plus instead.

• 9:35am Oral care.

• 9:45am Blood pressure: 110/68, P 60.

• 10:00am Deanna arrives to color and trim Maureen’s hair.

• Maureen seems to be in good spirits, alert and smiley today. 🙏

• 11:10am Maureen’s awake after napping for about 10 minutes. Transferred to the bedroom for her first resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, positioned on her right side.

• 12:10pm First break ends. Diaper it’s dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:25pm Lunch: Grilled turkey and cheese sandwich, full cup of root beer, and mandarin for dessert. Coughed once.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch during lunch, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 1:10pm Oral care.

• 1:20pm Facial routine performed.

• 1:30pm Catie, RN from Journey Care arrives for Maureen’s re-evaluation. We informed her about Maureen holding her pee again, leaning forward more lately, and her two recent episodes this week…

• Maureen stayed awake, relaxed and smiled few times while listening to her playlist. She had a cup of cranberry juice before her nap.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, positioned on her left side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper it’s dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi) and half cup of lemon water.
