Friday, July 14 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is deeply asleep. She is laying on her left side.

  • 7:00 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 7:09 am- Maureen opened her eyes wide and started twitching her arms and hands. She was making the clicking sound with her tongue. Pulse was 97 when I placed the oxymeter on. It went slowly up to 118 and started coming down. It lasted about 6-7 minutes. At 7:16 her pulse was in the upper 70s . Oxygen was always 96-97.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen is calm and relaxed. She is going back to sleep now.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is asleep.

  • 9:10 am- Maureen is awake now.

  • 9:15 am- We raised the bed and administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 9:30 am- Maureen is ready to start the day. Her diaper was light wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. We washed Maureen's upper body. The little red mark on Maureen's upper arm is barely visible. The second that appeared right underneath the first one , on the back of the underarm fold is red and didn't change since yesterday. Dalia and I washed it with washcloth and warm water only. We applied a tiny layer of Hydrocortisone . Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:45 am- Breakfast- Oatmeal smoothie with 1/4 piece of pear in, 6 oz of prune juice with 1/4 cup of Miralax. Maureen coughed once during breakfast.

  • There were some white dandruff pieces falling out when we brushed Maureen's hair .

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/4 cup.

  • 10:10 am- Administered Loratadin and Lisinopril.

  • 10:15 am - Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair down one level.

  • 10:20 am- Facial routine.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen is closing her eyes for a few minutes at times. She is very quiet this morning, looks tired and sleepy.

  • 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. Maureen will lie on her right side for an hour starting at 11:40 am.

  • 12:40 pm- Maureen's first rest break ends. Her diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:55 pm- Lunch- Cabbage soup, chicken salad and sauerkraut, half of yogurt, cup of watermelon juice. Maureen coughed three times, sneezed twice. She finished the watermelon juice.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair.

  • 2:00 pm- Maureen is resting in the chair, finished her lemon water.

  • 2:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. We used the suppository to help Maureen's bowel movement. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:30 pm.

  • 3:30 pm- Maureen's second break is over. Her diaper was medium wet and she had a medium formed bowel movement. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:50 pm- Fresh melon snack.

9:00am Maureen is awake . As per Tom, she’s been in and out of sleep since about 7 when she first woke and was receptive to sips of water. 9:20am Maureen’s awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg
