Friday January 19, 2024 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen sleeps on her left with Tom by her bedside.

• 7:00am Maureen woke up calmly earlier, accepted sips of water via swab. She’s now drifting back to sleep.

• 7:30am She’s sleeping.

• 8:00am Maureen’s still asleep.

• 8:30am Maureen sleeps soundly.

• 9:00am She is asleep.

• 9:40am Maureen woke up with slight twitch, within a few minutes her pulse went up to 118 and slowly down to top 90s. The whole episode lasted 10 minutes.

• 10:05 am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce. 10:15am Our day starts giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta, cleaned and changed a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier/cream. Slight redness under right armpit observed, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 10/35am Administered 50mg Senna plus with apple sauce.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 10:45am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice. Oatmeal pancake with blueberries, 2 prunes jam, and few sips of coffee! Coughed twice, able to release phlegm with the assistance of the suction pump.

• 11:10am Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

• No Miralax, Senna plus instead.

• 11:20am Morning oral care.

• 11:30am Facial routine.

• 12:00m Maureen sits with relaxed arms while listening her playlist.

• Maureen is phlegmy today, coughed couple times more while relaxing on the chair, suction pump used successfully.

• 12:10pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for a shortened first break due our late start. Diaper was dry, positioned on her right side at 12:20.

• 12:50pm First resting break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 1:05pm Lunch: Veggies soup, tuna salad with beet, full cup of coconut water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Coughed twice and nose was running, suction pump used.

• Reclined Geri chair during lunch, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• 1:55pm Saline Neb treatment.

• 2:15pm Blood pressure: 118/74, P 78.

• Maureen had 1/4 cup of ginger tea.

• 2:30pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the second rest break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her left side at 2:45.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi), also had 1/4 cup of ginger. Coughed one.
