Friday, February 10 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is sound asleep.

  • 6:49 am- Maureen opened her eyes. She looked calm . At 6:52 she started twitching her arms and hands. Eyes were not wide open, she was blinking. Pulse went up to 125. When I came back from the kitchen while getting the Lorazepam, pulse was 145. I administered 0.1 ml of Lorazepam at 6:55 am. At 7:00 pulse was still at 130. It started to slowly go down at 7:01. Oxygen was in the 92-96 range throughout the episode. Temperature was 99.2 at 7:05 am. It lasted about 10 minutes.

  • 7:15 - Maureen is closing her eyes at times.

  • 7:40 am- Maureen is asleep.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sound asleep. Pulse is 80, O2-94.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still asleep.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is sound asleep.

  • 9:10 am- Maureen woke up . Her eyes opened wide, but she was blinking. There was some twitching. Pulse picked up at 115. It was in the 95-100 range for 7 minutes. Oxygen was always 94-96.

  • 9:20 am- Maureen is calmer now, no twitching, pulse is 80.Dalia and I repositioned her on the left side. Maureen is closing her eyes.

  • 10:00 am- Maureen is fully awake and alert. We started the day. Diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Applied 3 M Cavilon products. We next washed Maureen's upper body. The redness on her right inner elbow is still there. We applied Nystatin. There is a small visible red line on Maureen's neck. Applied a thin layer of Hydrocortisone. Finished dressing and headed to the kitchen.

  • 10:15 am- Administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 10:20 am- Because of the late start we gave Maureen a smoothie for breakfast. She had 8 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax. There were 4 coughs and 3 sneezes at the beginning , but then we finished the smoothie without coughing.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/2 cup.

  • 11:15 am- Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair after.

  • 11:30 am- Maureen is resting in the chair.

  • 11:45am - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for a short break. Diaper was dry. We positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:55 am.

  • 12:20 pm- We shortened Maureen's break. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:30 pm- Lunch- vegetable soup, shrimp salad, mango salad, bottle of coconut water. Maureen coughed three times.

  • 1:00 pm- Maureen is enjoying Carolyn's visit.

  • 1:15 pm- Eye wash and eye drops.

  • 1:20 pm- Because of Maureen's runny nose, we used saline mist spray and Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.

  • 1:30 pm - Oral care.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. The diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:15 pm.

  • 3:15 pm- Rest break #2 ends. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:30 pm- Fresh fruit snack.

9:00am Maureen is awake . As per Tom, she’s been in and out of sleep since about 7 when she first woke and was receptive to sips of water. 9:20am Maureen’s awake, we raised her bed to administer 75mcg
