Friday December 24, 2021 Dayshift Update

• 7:00am Maureen is awake, chatting to herself.

• 7:30am Maureen fell back to sleep for about 15 minutes.

• 8:15am Our day begins. Started with application of Tolcylen to both big toes and allowed to air dry for at least 10 minutes. Cleaned all the inner folds of Maureen’s skin with Aloe Vesta cleansing foam. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up using the 3M cleanser spray, applied the no sting barrier film to the former pressure sore area, applied Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the Hoyer lift and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:44am We started with a drink of water and then a spoonful of honey followed by thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 8:45am For breakfast, Maureen will eat a bowl of oatmeal with a banana, 4 oz of prune juice and a cup of water.

  • Maureen coughed twice during breakfast.

• 9:06am Administered Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 9:12am Oral care.

• 9:20am Facial routine.

• 10:00am We brought Maureen to the front room in her recliner. Now watching tv.

• 10:20am Smoothie time.

• 10:45am We headed to the bedroom for a change. Maureen’s diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen urinated during the changing process. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows placed behind her and the white block pillow in between her legs. She will rest in bed for one hour starting at 11:00am.

• 12:20pm Rest period is over. Maureen’s diaper is wet and she had a medium sized, formed bowel movement. We cleaned up and put on a new diaper.

• 12:30pm Lunchtime. Maureen will eat half of a ham sandwich with avocado mash and a bottle of coconut water.

• 12:45pm Sister Roberta is here for Maureen’s treatment.

• 2:10pm Carolyn is here.

• 3:10pm We headed to the bedroom for a change. Her diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a fresh diaper. We returned to the front room after.
