Friday April 5, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is still sleepy, she woke up earlier than accepted sips of water via swab.

• 8:25 Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:35am Merianne and I started our day by giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipe. Redness by Maureen’s left armpit it’s slightly visible, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:55am Administered 1-50mg Senna plus (crushed) with apple sauce, followed by a cup of lemon water.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:10am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice, oatmeal/blueberries pancake, couple spoons Greek yogurt with banana, and coffee. Maureen coughed three times and nose was running, suction pump used once.

• 9:25am Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

• No Miralax, Senna plus instead.

• 9:45am Morning oral care.

• 9:55am Facial routine performed.

• 10:20am We decided to give Maureen a saline Neb treatment after her nose was still runny after breakfast.

• Maureen sits relaxed and awake while watching a Disney movie.

• 10:45am Blood pressure: 100/63, P 78.

• Maureen had 3/4 cup of lemon water.

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed and applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs. Positioned on her right side at 11:45am.

• 12:30pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45pm Lunch: Ham/cheese sandwich, fresh tomato and avocado, and a full cup of root beer. Maureen coughed once and nose was runny.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch during meal, she was leaning forward.

• Maureen started to space out, hands cold and arms were tight minutes into her lunch. It took longer for her to eat and she was tired at the end (about 35 minutes).

• During meal, we took her vitals: O2: 88 BP: 105/77 Pulse: 60

Temp: 96.5

• 1:50pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen napped in the chair until her next break. During this time, her arms relaxed a little.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper then positioned on her left side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was medium wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen feels warm to the touch, checked temperature and she has a fever. Temp: 102.7

• Administered 500ml de solvable Tylenol with apple sauce.

• 3:50pm Fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi).
