Friday, April 21 Daytime update

  • 6:30 - Maureen is sleeping.

  • 7:00 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 73:0 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep.

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is still in and out of sleep.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is slowly waking up.

  • 8:45 am- Maureen is awake and we started the day. We raised the bed and administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce. Diaper was dry. Dalia and I washed Maureen's upper body. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:15 am- Breakfast- oatmeal with 1/4 of banana, 8 oz of prune juice mixed with water. Maureen coughed three times. She was able to cough up some phlegm.

  • 9:45 am- Administered Loratadin and Lisinopril with apple sauce.

  • 9:50 am- Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair after.

  • 10:00 am- Maureen is snoozing in the chair.

  • 10:30 am- Maureen is still sleeping in the chair.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen woke up. She was twitching . Pulse was in the 85-100 for about 15 minutes, before getting down to 60-s.

  • 11:20 am- Half a smoothie, one cough .

  • 11:40 am- We transferred Maureen to the bed for a change and her first rest break. Diaper was heavy wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 12:00 pm.

  • 1:00 pm- First rest break is over. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 1:15 pm- Lunch- vegetable soup, eggs salad, fresh tomatoe, cup of water mixed with coconut water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 1:45 pm- Oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair.

  • 2:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bed for her second rest break. Diaper was heavy wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed Maureen. The lab person came in for blood draw. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:45 pm.

  • 3:45 pm- Second rest break is over. Maureen's diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.
