February 28 daytime update

• 6:30AM - Maureen is awake. She is talking to herself quite a bit. As long as she remains fully awake, Maya will periodically give her sips of water via a mouth swab between now and the time she gets out of bed.

• 6:40AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is now wet.

• Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is engaged and relatively chatty. My got the ball rolling by applying Tolcylen to both big toes. The diaper was medium wet. We performed a clean & change using all three 3M Cavilon products where appropriate. Our last step was to wash all of the areas of focus on Maureen's upper body with Aloe Vesta Cleansing Foam and warmed wipes from the purple packet. There were no areas of redness. The slight red lines in Maureen's right armpit are now completely gone.

• Breakfast service kicked off @ 8:43AM. Posture in the geri chair is good—tilting to the left somewhat. Maya gave Maureen a teaspoon of Manuka Honey followed immediately by the administration of the thyroid pill with a wee bit of applesauce.

• General observations @ 8:46AM> Maureen is very congested this morning. She is coughing and sneezing quite a bit for this early in the day.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/2 cap

• Maureen will consume approximately 4 ounces of prune juice this morning.

• 9:26AM - Morning oral care routine

• 9:30AM - Maureen is sowing signs of losing energy. The low moan/groan begins.

• 9:39AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops.

• 9:42AM - We tiled the geri chair back one level and put the red couch pillow behind Maureen's head to make her more comfortable and to reduce the stress on her lower back.

• 10:00AM - Hand, arm, should and leg exercises.

• 10:30AM - Organic fruit smoothie

• 10:53AM - It was off to the bedroom to prep for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I performed a clean & change. Afterwards, we placed Maureen on her right side.

• 11:07AM - Rest Break #1 begins

• 12:20PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. Maureen had a small formed bowel movement. The diaper was medium wet. After completing a clean & change, we headed to the kitchen for lunch.

• 12:38PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 a turkey and melted cheese sandwich on toasted whole wheat bread, 1/2 a bowl of cabbage and chicken soup, a serving of garlic green beans and a serving of sliced tomatoes. Maureen will drink one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during lunch.

• 1:40PM - Afternoon oral care

• 2:05PM - We headed to the bedroom for Rest Break #2. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I completed a clean & change and placed Maureen on her left side.

• 2:18PM - Rest Break #2 begins.

• 3:05PM - Rest Break #2 ends. Maureen had a medium formed bowel movement. Diaper was medium wet. After finishing the clean & change, we headed to the front room for the remanded of the afternoon. TPIR, fruit snack and a visit from Carolyn—who could ask for anything more.
