  • Maureen has been awake since 6:30AM. Maya checked the diaper @ 645AM. It was wet.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:15AM. She is in good spirits—a little less chatty than the last few days. Maya started our routine by applying Tolcylen to both big toenails. Diaper is medium wet. We performed a clean & change using all three 3M Cavilon products where appropriate. Lastly, it was time to clean all of the areas of focus on Maureen's upper body with Aloe Vesta Cleanings foam and warmed wipes form the purple packet. All areas are in excellent shape. None require Nystatin Ointment.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:55AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. Maureen is tilting to the left a bit. Maya gave Maureen a teaspoon of Manuka Honey followed immediately by the administration of the thyroid medication.

  • Maureen will consume 6 ounces of prune juice this morning. This is two ounces more than normal because Maureen has not had a bowel movement in almost two days.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/2 cap

  • We will not administer any cough medicine or Arm & Hammer Saline Spray Mist today.

  • 9:30AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication with a smattering of applesauce.

  • 9:40AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 9:52AM - Morning facial routine including arms and hands.

  • 10:00AM - Hand, arm, shoulder and leg exercises.

  • 10:35AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 10:45AM - Loan moan/grown begins

  • 10:55AM - We headed to the bedroom for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. After completing a clean & change, Maya and I placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 11:10AM - Rest Break #1 begins.

  • 12:10PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Diaper is medium wet. After completing a clean & change, Maya and I took Maureen to the kitchen for lunch.

  • 12:25PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat, 1/2 a bowl of organic mushroom soup and a serving of brussel sprouts. Maureen drank one12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Coconut Water. For desert, Maureen had a chocolate chip cookie.

  • General observation @ 12:42PM> Maureen is defiantly lacking energy during lunch—eyes are partially closed. This is the second day in row.

  • 1:10PM - Afternoon oral care

  • Vital stats @ 1:15PM> Heart: 62, Oxygen: 97 and Temperature: 98.8.

  • General observation @ 1:20PM> Maureen's energy level significantly increased. She is now more active/engaged. Eyes are wide open.

  • 1:55PM - We took Maureen to the bedroom for a clean & change in advance of Sr. Roberta's visit. The diaper was wet. Maureen had a very small formed bowel movement. Maya and I performed a thorough clean & change. We then headed to the front room for some R&R and TPIR.

  • 3:15PM - Afternoon fruit snack

  • Daytime recap> I would rate today as average. Maureen's energy was lacking. Communication and interactivity was up and down. As usual, her appetite was good. Chewing and swallowing were also satisfactory. Coughing was somewhat worse today. Congestion was not bad at all—especially when you consider we did not give Maureen and cough medicine or saline solution. She had a very small formed bowel movement. It has been more than 2.5 days now since she had a medium or large one.
