December 9 daytime update

• 6:30AM - Maureen is awake.

• 6:40AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is dry.

• Maureen began her day @ 8:15AM. She is in good form. Maya got things rolling by applying the Tolcylen to both toes. The diaper was light wet. We did a clean and change and the washed the areas of focus of Maureen's upper body. None of the areas required the application of Nystatin Ointment.

• Breakfast service commenced @ 8:44AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good—with the assistance of one green wedge pillow and Magic Mike. First item on the menu was a tea spoon of Manuka honey. Maya immediately followed up with the thyroid medication. Maureen coughed three times during breakfast.

• Maureen will consume approximately 5 ounces of prune juice today. We wanted to finish off the bottle to make room in the refrigerator for a new one.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

• 9:18AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.

• 9:27AM - Morning oral care. Maya used the new soft toothbrush for the area around the upper right implant.

• 9:40AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops.

• 9:49AM - Morning facial treatment

• 10:35AM - Morning fruit smoothie - full of nothing but organic goodness.

• 11:05AM - We headed to the bedroom as Rest Break #1 was upon us. The diaper was light wet. Maya and I did a clean and change. We then positioned Maureen on her left side.

• 11:23AM - Rest Break #1 begins. Maureen will lay on her left side for the next 60 minutes.

• 12:23PM - Rest Break #1 ends. The diaper is medium wet. Maureen has a large formed bowel movement. We performed a clean and change and headed to the kitchen for lunch.

• 12:50PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 and egg salad on toasted whole wheat, 1/2 bowl of homemade onion and chicken soup and 1/4 of a tomato sliced. Maureen will drink 1 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water during lunch. Maureen did not cough once while eating lunch.

• 1:30PM - Afternoon oral care

• 1:50PM - Carolyn arrived for a visit with Maureen in the kitchen.

• 2:50PM - After Carolyn departed, we took Maureen to the bedroom for a clean and change. The diaper was heavy wet. Since we were already very deep in the afternoon, Maya and I decided to forgo the afternoon rest break. During Carolyn's visit, we tilted the geri chair back one level to relieve pressure on Maureen's sacrum. While doing the clean and change, we noted the sacral area was not the least bit red. After completing the clean and change, we headed to the front room.
