  • 6:50AM - She remains awake. Diaper is still dry.

  • 7:20AM - Maureen continues to be awake. Diaper remains dry.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:08AM. She is alert and engaged. Before getting into the daily routine, we tilted the bed to 90 degrees and gave Maureen four sips of water. Maya got things going by applying Tolcylen to both big toes. The diaper was light wet. We cleaned and changed Maureen with the complete suite of 3M Cavilon products. Lastly, we washed all areas of Maureen's upper body where perspiration accumulates. After closely examining all the areas, we concluded that none required the application fo Nystatin Ointment.

  • Navel rash/skin irritation update> We then turned our focus to the rash/irritation on/around Maureen's navel. It continues to heal quite nicely. There is no discharge from the navel. Maya cleaned the navel with Cetaphil and water. She then applied a thin layer of Hydrocortisone to the entire area. See the attached set of two images. I took the first one before Maya cleaned the entire area. The second one was taken after the clean up but prior to the application of the hydrocortisone.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:47AM. Posture in the geri chair is very good. As with most mornings, Maureen tilts forward and a bit to the left. Maya immediately gave Maureen a teaspoon of Manuka honey followed by the administration of the thyroid medication with a small helping of apple sauce. Maureen coughed four times during breakfast.

  • Due to the reduced number and size of the bowel movements last week, Maureen will consume 8 ounces of prune juice each morning this week.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • 10:55AM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. The diaper was light wet. Maureen had a very small formed bowel movement while we were doing the clean and change. Upon completion, we positioned Maureen on her left side.
