  • 6:30AM - Maureen is going in and out of sleep.

  • 6:50AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is dry.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is alert and engaged. We started off by examining her right big toenail. Maya removed the Band-Aid and thoroughly cleaned the toenail with Aloe Vesta and a warm washcloth. Our main goal was to remove as much of the dried blood as possible. There was no new bleeding. Once the cleaning process was complete, we put on a fresh Band-Aid to protect the toe. The diaper was medium wet. We performed a clean & change using all three 3M Cavilon products. Last but not least, Maya cleaned all areas of focus on Maureen's upper body with Aloe Vesta Cleansing Foam and warm wipes from the purple packet. Maya did observe a slight amount of redness under the right breast. She applied a thin layer of Nystatin to this area.

  • Breakfast service began @ 8:50AM. Posture in the geri chair was average today. Maureen was listing somewhat heavily to the left. We configure the two green wedge pillows to more or less get her upright. Maya began by giving Maureen a teaspoon of Manuka Honey followed immediately by the administration of the thyroid pill with a wee bit of applesauce.

  • Maureen will consume four ounces of prune juice this morning.

  • Daily Mira LAX dosage: None

  • General observations @ 9:14AM> Maureen got off to a good start today. Energy, engagement, communication and responsiveness are all good. She is chewing and swallowing well. Coughing is almost nonexistent so far—at the halfway point of the breakfast service.

  • 9:41AM - Maya gave Maureen the Claritin and blood pressure mediation with a smattering of applesauce.

  • 9:47AM - Morning dental care routine

  • 10:05AM - Morning facial treatment including arms and hands.

  • 10:29AM - We tilted the geri chair back one level for Maureen's comfort and to reduce pressure on her sacrum.

  • 11:03AM - We transported Maureen to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was light wet. Maya and I cleaned and changed Maureen. We then set Maureen on her right side.

  • 11:16AM - Rest Break #1 begins.

  • 1:10PM - Rest Break #1 ends. This will be only one of the day due to Sr. Roberta's visit. The diaper was medium wet. Maya and I completed a clean & change. We then transported Maureen to the kitchen for lunch.

  • 1:27PM - Lunch | Today was visiting chefs day at the house. Maureen enjoyed a bowl of fusilli with marinara prepared by Chef Brian. Chef Maya prepared a small serving of split pea with chicken soup (lightly pureed). For dessert, Master Baker Michael Osel prepared Maureen a slice of blueberry pie. She had a small sliver of it.

  • 2:25PM - Afternoon oral care

  • 245PM - We headed to the bedroom for a clean & change. Diaper was medium wet. Maya and I perfumed a clean & change and then transported Maureen to the front room for the remainder of the day.

  • 3:05PM - Sr. Roberta therapeutic massage session begins.

  • 3:35PM - Fruit snack
