Thursday, May 4 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am- Maureen is sleeping. She is laying on her left side.

  • 7:00 am- Maureen is asleep.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen is still sound asleep.

  • 8:00 am- No change, Maureen is sleeping.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is awake now. We raised the bed and administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:45 am- Maureen is falling asleep.

  • 9:00 am- Maureen is sleeping.

  • 9:15 am- Maureen is awake and we started the day. Diaper was dry. Dalia and I washed Maureen's upper body. There was no more redness under the right breast. Dressed Maureen and transferred her in the Geri chair.

  • 9:30 am- Breakfast- Half a smoothie with added 1/2 a pear and 2 tbs of oatmeal, 6 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax. Maureen coughed once and sneezed twice. She finished the prune juice.

  • 9:55 am- Administered Loratadin and Lisinopril with apple sauce.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/2 cup.

  • 10:00 am- Morning oral care. We reclined Maureen's chair down.

  • 10:15 am- Facial routine.

  • 10:30 am- Maureen is snoozing in the chair.

  • 11:10 am- We transferred Maureen to the bed. Diaper was heavy wet. There was more vaginal discharge this morning. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. Inserted a suppository to stimulate a bowel movement. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:25 am.

  • 12:25 pm- First rest break ends. Maureen had a dry diaper with an extra large formed bowel movement. Dalia and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed , transferred Maureen to the Geri chair and headed to the dining area.

  • 12:45 pm- Lunch- chicken and green peas soup, sweet potato , cup of lemon water. No coughs during lunch.

  • 1:10 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the wheelchair and went outside for a nice walk.

  • 2:05 pm- We came back to Carolyn's house. Transferred Maureen to her bed. Diaper was medium wet. Dalia and I cleaned and changed. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:20 pm.

  • 3:20 pm- Maureen's second rest break ends. Diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

  • 3:30 pm- Fresh watermelon snack. No coughs.
