Thursday, December 15 Daytime update

  • 6:30 am - Maureen is sleeping. She is laying on her left side.

  • 7:00 am - Maureen is still sound asleep.

  • 7:30 am- Maureen remains in a deep sleep.

  • 8:00 am- There is no change, Maureen is still deeply asleep.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still sound asleep. She is not stirring at all.

  • 9:00 am- No change, Maureen is deeply asleep.

  • 9:30 am- Maureen is stirring a little, she opens her eyes from time to time. O2 is 96% , pulse 66 at this moment. She seems calm and relaxed.

  • 9:50 am - Maureen is falling asleep again. Vitals are the same.

  • 10:00 am- Maureen is sound asleep.

  • 10:30 am- No change , Maureen is still deeply asleep.

  • 10:35 am- Maureen suddenly woke up. She had a mild episode. Her arms and hands started twitching a little. Her eyes opened wide, but she was blinking all throughout. Her pulse picked at 120 for only two minutes. It quickly started to get back to normal. O2 was great. The whole episode- from the beginning to getting back to normal levels lasted about 6-7 minutes. She is calm and very relaxed now.

  • 11 :00 am - Dalia and I repositioned Maureen gently on her right side . Diaper was dry. We will give her a little time to get fully alert before getting up. O2 is 96 % , pulse is 74 at this moment.

  • 11:20 am- We started our day. Maureen's diaper was still dry. Dalia and I washed Maureen's upper body. Finished dressing and headed to the kitchen.

  • 11:35 am- Administered Levothyroxine with apple sauce. Because of the late start, we decided to give Maureen the smoothie. She will have 8 oz of prune juice with 1/2 cup of Miralax. Maureen coughed three times.

  • 12:05 pm- Lisinopril and Loratadin were administered with apple sauce.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1/2 cup.

  • 12:10 pm- Oral care.

  • 12:15 pm We reclined Maureen's chair down.

  • 12:17 pm- Facial routine.

  • Maureen really perked up during breakfast. She was chatty, saying some words, smiling,. If was great to see. Congestion is almost non existent. She is centered in the geri chair and sitting really well. Energy level seems great.

  • 1:30 pm- Lunch time- butternut squash soup, eggs salad, steamed Brussels sprouts, 12 oz bottle of coconut water. Maureen coughed four times.

  • 2:10 pm- Oral care.

  • 2 :25 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her only rest break today. The diaper was heavy wet. Dalia and I performed a clean and change. Positioned Maureen on her right side. She will lie down for an hour starting at 2:40 pm.

  • 3:40 pm- The break is over. Maureen's diaper is dry. We dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:50 pm- Fruit snack.

-9:30am Maureen is asleep. -9:45am Maureen is awake, we changed her diaper it was medium wet w/medium VD odorless and yellow. We applied sureprep to her sacrum area and cavilon between her inner thigh

 
 
 
Monday June 8th Daytime Summary

-9:30am Maureen is awake, Tom gave her a few swabs of water. We sat Maureen in a upright position and gave her 75mcg of Levothyroxine w/applesauce. We gave Maureen 6oz. of water w/Thick-It. -Morning C
