Sunday, September 28 Daytime update

• 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping, comfortably laying on her left side.

• 8:30 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

• 9:00 am - Maureen is asleep.

• 9:10 am- Maureen is waking up. She is calm. No signs of discomfort.

  O2-96, P-65.

• 9:20 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

• 9:25 am- We started the day with changing a medium wet diaper. Cleaned, applied the new Sureprep No-sting skin protective Barrier wipe on sacrum area and Cavilon cream on inner thighs. We next washed Maureen’s upper body. Dressed and transferred her to the wheelchair. Headed to the kitchen.

• 9:40 am - Maureen had 10 oz of electrolyte water No coughs .Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce. Applied sunscreen and heeded outside to have breakfast on the patio.

• 10:00 am- Breakfast- omelette, banana, 10 oz of lemon water. Maureen coughed 5 times, sneezed many times. Her nose was running .

• 10:55 am- Morning oral care.

• 11:15 am- Maureen had another 10 oz of electrolyte water. No coughs.

• 11:20 am- Deacon Andy came in for Sunday service.

• 11:30 am- We came back inside. Transferred Maureen to bed for her first rest break. Her diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Maureen will lie down on her right side for an hour starting at 11:45 am.

• 12:45 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ended. Her diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her . Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

• 1:00 pm- Lunch- cabbage and chicken soup, half of a turkey and cheese sandwich, 10 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed three times, sneezed 5-6 times. Her nose is running when sneezing.

• 1:50 pm- Oral care

• 1:55 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Her diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 2:10 pm.

• 3:10 pm- Maureen’s second rest break is over. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

• 3:20 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta’s treatment.

• 3:45 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon and apple. Maureen coughed three times, sneezed 4 times.

• 4:50 pm- Maureen finished 10 oz of sparkling water. No coughs.

• 5:10 pm- Diaper is light wet.

  We started with dinner- Salmon, sweet potato and asparagus. Maureen coughed and sneezed a lot. She had 3 oz of water.

• 5:55 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

• 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

• 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was heavy wet. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned her face and applied Cetaphil lotion on her face, hands,legs and feet . Positioned Maureen on her left side.

• Maureen consumed 53 oz of liquid today. She coughed while drinking lemon water, nothing with electrolytes and sparkling water. Coughing and sneezing while eating was more than her normal and her hands were more tight than usual.She was alert throughout the day.
