Sunday, October 20 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is just calmly waking up. She is laying on her left . Tom is by her side.

  • 8:15 am- Maureen is getting some water via swab.

  • 8:30 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:35 am- We started the day. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. She had a thick vaginal discharge. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon Barrier film and Cavilon cream. We washed Maureen's upper body. There was no redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 8:50 am- Breakfast- Omelette, 8 oz of prune juice with 1 cup of Miralax, actives yogurt, little coffee. Maureen coughed twice.

  • Daily Miralax dosage- 1 cup.

  • 9:40 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with yogurt.

  • 9:45 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:00 am- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution and albuterol. Maureen is sleeping during the treatment.

  • 11:10 am- Maureen woke up from an hour long deep sleep. She started twitching. Pulse went up to 123 and started coming down. Oxygen was great all the time. She quickly calmed down.

  • 11:15 am- Deacon Andy came in for Sunday service.

  • 11:25 am- Morning facial routine.

  • 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was dry. We positioned her on the right side at 11:40 am.

  • Maureen was moving her left leg up and down a lot while laying down.

  • 12:40 pm- Maureen's first rest break ends. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred Maureen to the wheelchair.

  • 12:45 pm- We went to the back porch and Maureen had lunch there . She enjoyed an oatmeal smoothie, cup of coconut water. One cough.

  • 1:40 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:45 pm- We came back inside. Transferred Maureen to bed. Diaper was medium wet and she had a large soft bowel movement. There was a lot of thick vaginal discharge. Tom and I cleaned and changed Maureen. Positioned her on her left side at 2:00 pm.

  • 2:55 pm- Maureen's second rest break is over now. Her diaper is dry. We dressed her and transferred to the recliner.

  • 3:05 pm- Maureen is enjoying Sister Roberta's treatment.

  • 3:50 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, pear and kiwi. No coughs.

  • 4:55 pm- Diaper is dry.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- Short ribs ravioli, cup of ginger tea. Maureen enjoyed it, coughed once.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat a5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom. Diaper was medium wet. There was still vaginal discharge.Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned Maureen's face and hands. Applied Cetaphil lotion on her face and upper and lower extremities. Positioned Maureen on her left side.
