Sunday, March 30 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still asleep. She is comfortably laying on her left side.

  • 9:00 pm- Maureen is sound asleep.

  • 9:15 am- Maureen is calmly waking up. No signs of distress .

  • 9:25 am- Maureen looks ready to start the day. We raised the bed and in upright position we administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 9:30 am- We started our morning routine. Maureen’s diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. There was a tiny light brown spot on the diaper only. No redness on her body observed. We applied Cavilon barrier film, Cavilon cream and Calazinc cream on appropriate areas. The redness is almost healed. We dressed and transferred Maureen to the kitchen.

  • 9:45 am- Maureen had 10 oz of lemon water.

  • 9:50 am- Breakfast- omelette, pear , 8 oz of prune juice. Maureen coughed once, sneezed twice.

  • 10:30 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with apple sauce. Reclined Maureen’s chair down for her comfort.

  • No Miralax today.

  • 10:35 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:40 am- Facial and hand care routine.

  • 11:20 am-Maureen just finished 10 oz water (mixed with a very little sparkling water for taste).

  • 11:25 am- Deacon Andy came in for Sunday service.

  • 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. We positioned Maureen on her left side at 11:40 am.

  • 12:40 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ended. Her diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:55 pm- Lunch- Lamb meat and rice soup, tuna salad, red beets, 10 oz cup of coconut water. No coughs. We reclined Maureen’s chair after lunch.

  • Tom and Maureen’s friends- Bob and Myrna came to visit.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:55 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. Maureen will lie on her left side for an hour starting at 2:00 pm .

  • 3:00 pm-Maureen’s second rest break is over now. Her diaper was medium wet. Tom and I performed a clean and change routine. Dressed and transferred her to the front room.

  • 3:15 pm- Sister Roberta arrived for Maureen’s treatment.

  • 3:50 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, pear and kiwi. Maureen coughed once sneezed a lot.

  • 4:55 pm- Maureen’s diaper is dry.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- Pasta with chicken, half a cup of water( 5oz ).

    Maureen coughed twice, sneezed at least 5-6 times.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Her diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream and Calazinc cream. Cleaned her face and applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands and legs. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

  • Maureen had 43 oz of water today. She ate very well ,never refused the liquids, stayed awake and alert throughout the day, sitting straight in the chair without tilting. She sneezed a lot in the afternoon.

Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025 Daytime update

9:00am Maureen is already awake with Tom by her bedside, receptive to sips of water via swab. 9:25am We raised her bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce. 9:27am Blood pressure: 99/69.
