Sunday, March 2 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is awake and Tom is giving her sips of water via swab. She is comfortably lying on her left side.

  • 8:15 am- Maureen closed her eyes again.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen took a very short nap and is awake now. We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:35 am- We started the day. Maureen’s diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed. Applied Cavilon barrier film and Cavilon cream. We washed Maureen’s upper body. There is one round red spot on the right side of her neck, about 1/4 inch. We dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 8:50- Maureen had half a cup of water, 5 oz.

  • 8:55 am- Breakfast- Omelette with cheese and veggies, 1/4 of a pear, 8 oz of prune juice, a 10 oz cup of water . Maureen coughed three times.

  • No Miralax today.

  • 9:40 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with apple sauce. We reclined Maureen’s chair down.

  • 9:45 am- Morning oral care.

  • 9:50 am- Facial routine.

  • 10:20 am- Maureen finished a 10 oz cup of water.

  • 10:30 am- Maureen’s nose is running a little so we gave her a nebulizer treatment with saline solution.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen is relaxing in the chair, having her second 10 oz cup of water mixed with a spoonful of coconut water.

  • 11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. She will lie on her right side for an hour starting at 11:40 am.

  • 12:40 pm- Maureen’s first rest break is over. Her diaper was dry. We dressed and transferred her to the kitchen.

  • 12:50 pm- Lunch- chicken soup, chicken salad, fresh tomato, 10 oz cup of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 1:15 pm- Deacon Andy arrives for Sunday service.

  • 1:30 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:50 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Inserted a suppository. Positioned Maureen on her left side at 2:00 pm.

  • 2:55 pm- Maureen’s second rest break ended. Her diaper was heavy wet and she had an extra large formed and soft at the end, bowel movement. Tom and I cleaned her thoroughly. Changed, dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

  • 3:10 pm- Sister Roberta arrived for Maureen’s treatment.

  • 4:00 pm- Maureen is having a fresh fruit ( melon, apple and banana) while enjoying her massage. She had about 2 oz of water.

  • 4:55 pm- Maureen’s diaper is dry.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- Cilantro lime chicken, spinach, asparagus, carrots, red cabbage. Coughed twice. She wasn’t receptive to water. Kept holding it and spilling out.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with apple sauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:25 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned her face and applied Cetaphil lotion on her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side. She is already closing her eyes.

  • Maureen had about 45 oz of water today. We did not see any vaginal discharge.

9:30AM - Maureen's on her left side, still sleeping. 9:45AM- Maureen is awake, no signs of pain or any distress. We check the left foot it already very light color we still Applied Triamcinolone 0.1%
