Sunday, July 20 Daytime update

8:00 am- Maureen is comfortably laying on her left side. She is asleep.
8:10 am- Maureen is in and out of sleep.
8:20 am- Maureen is awake now.
8:30 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.
8:35 am- We started the day. Maureen’s diaper was medium wet with a large bloody spot on it. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film and Cavilon cream. Next we washed Maureen’s upper body. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.
8:55 am - Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.
9:05 am- Maureen had 5 oz of water mixed with apple juice.
9:10 am- Breakfast- omelette, half of banana, 5 oz of water, a couple sips of coffee. Maureen coughed twice.
9:45 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.
10:00 am- Morning oral care.
10:15 am- Facial and hand care routine.
11:15 am- Deacon Andy came in for Sunday service.
11:30 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. We positioned her on the right side at 11:40 am.
12:40 pm- Maureen’s first rest break is over now. Her diaper was medium wet with a bloody spot on it. Tom and I cleaned and changed her . Dressed and transferred to the recliner.
12 55 pm- Lunch- chicken and cabbage soup, half of a chocolate chip cookie, 10 oz of sparkling water. Maureen coughed only while drinking the sparkling water, even though she received it with a spoon.
1:45 pm- Oral care.
2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was dry. She will lay down on her right side for an hour starting at 2:10 pm.
3:00 pm- Maureen’s rest break ended. We cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.
3:10 pm- Sister Roberta arrived for Maureen’s treatment.
3:45 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon, apple and banana, 5 oz of coconut water. Maureen had an episode of coughing and sneezing a lot.
4:40 pm- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.
5:00 pm- Maureen’s diaper is dry.
5:05 pm- Dinner- Meatball, mushed potatoes, asparagus, 10 oz of lemon water. Maureen coughed and sneezed a few times.
5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.
6:10 pm- Evening oral care.
6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Diaper was medium wet. There was a bloody spot on it again. Tom and I cleaned and changed it. Applied Cavilon cream. Cleaned her face and applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

Maureen had 35 oz of liquids today. She was alert throughout the day. Most of the day her hands were relaxed and down. She was sitting very well and straight.
