Sunday February 27, 2022 Dayshift Update

• 8:00am Maureen is laying down in bed. She is awake, but not fully oriented. She is in and out of sleep. 8:30am Our day begins. Filed both of Maureen’s big toes and applied Tolcylen. The area under Maureen’s right armpit is still slightly red. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up, applied no sting barrier film followed by the Cavilon barrier cream, and put on a new diaper after. We dressed and transferred Maureen to the Geri chair using the hoyer lift.

• 8:52am Spoonful of honey and half thyroid pill with applesauce.

• 9:11am Breakfast - banana, ham tomato cheese omelet, sausages, 4 oz prune juice, and a cup of water.

  • Maureen coughed 4 times.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/2 cap

• 9:33am 5mg Lisinopril with applesauce.

• 9:40am Oral care followed by morning facial routine.

• Maureen‘s energy level this morning was good. She was awake for breakfast, but not talkative. Shortly after oral care, the low moan/groan began.

• 10:05am We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• 11:10am Deacon Andy is here to give Maureen Holy Communion.

• 11:30am We headed to the bedroom for rest period #1. Diaper is wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 11:45am.

• 12:45pm Rest period #1 is through. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Transferred Maureen to the Geri chair after and headed to the kitchen.

• 1:03pm Lunch - half tuna sandwich, garlic green beans, sliced tomato, and a bottle of organic coconut water.

  • Maureen coughed 3 times.

• 1:40pm Oral care

• 1:55pm We headed to the front room. Maureen is sitting comfortably in the recliner.

• Maureen is full of energy from the moment we helped her out of bed. She was all smiles and talkative. Low moan/groan started after lunch, right before oral care.

• We elected to delay Maureen’s rest period so she can watch the Hawks game with Tom.

• 2:30pm We trimmed and filed Maureen’s fingernails.

• 3:30pm Fruit snack

• 3:50pm We headed to the bedroom for rest period #2. Diaper is medium wet - we cleaned up and put on a new diaper. Maureen will lay on her left side for one hour starting at 4:00pm.
