Sunday, December 14 Daytime update

  • 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping, comfortably laying on her left side. Tom said that she woke up at 5:00 am and stayed awake for about 40 minutes.

  • 8:30 am- Maureen is still sleeping.

  • 8:40 am - Maureen opened her eyes. She is calm and relaxed.

  • 8:50 am- We administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce in the upright position of the bed.

  • 8:55 am- Tom and I changed a medium wet diaper. No blood or discharge. Cleaned and applied Sureprep barrier film and Cavilon cream on inner tights. Washed Maureen’s upper body, dressed and transferred her to the recliner

  • 9:10 am- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution. .

  • 9:20 - Maureen had 10 oz of lemon water.

  • 9:25 am- Breakfast- omelette, piece of pear, 10 oz of prune juice. Maureen coughed four times, sneezed multiple times. Suction machine was used.

  • 10:10 am- Morning oral care.

  • 10:15 am- Facial and hand care routine.

  • 10:30 am- We reclined Maureen back, she is resting and listening to Christmas music.

  • 11:00 am- Maureen took a 20 minutes nap.

  • 11:10 am- Deacon Andy arrived for the regular Sunday service.

  • 11:25 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Her diaper was dry. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 11:35 am.

  • 12:05 pm- Maureen’s first rest break ended. Her diaper was dry . We dressed her and headed to the front room.

  • 12:20 pm- Lunch- Chicken noodle soup, chicken salad, avocado mash , half of a chocolate chip cookie for dessert, 10 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed twice.

  • 1:10 pm- Oral care.

  • 1:45 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of electrolyte water.

  • 2:00 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Diaper was medium wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Maureen will lie down on her right side for half an hour starting at 2:15 pm.

  • 2:45 pm- Maureen’s second rest break is over now. She took a 20 minutes nap. Her diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the recliner.

  • 3:15 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of sparkling water.

  • 3:15 pm- Sister Roberta arrived in for Maureen’s treatment.

  • 3:40 pm- Melon and pear for afternoon snack. No coughs.

  • 4:45 pm- Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.

  • 5:00 pm- Dinner- Chicken tacos, 10 oz of lemon water. Maureen coughed three times, sneezed twice.

  • 5:50 pm- Administered 12.5 ml of Vimpat and 5 mg of Olanzapine with applesauce.

  • 6:10 pm- Evening oral care.

  • 6:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for the night. Her diaper was heavy wet. Tom and I cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon cream. Applied Cetaphil lotion to her face, hands, legs and feet. Positioned Maureen on her left side.

  • Maureen had 60 oz of liquids today.

Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Maureen's on her left side soundly sleeping. 8:18AM - Maureen opened her eyes, no signs of any distress. Gave her sips of water via swab. 8:45AM - Maureen looking sleepy, eyes half way close.
