Summary of visit by NorthShore speech therapist Christine Padilla

The visit went extremely well. Christine was very pleased with everything we have done. The following bullet points summarize the visit:

• Vitals: Temperature:98.7, Pulse: 77 and Blood Pressure: 120/80.

• "I see no cause for concern. You are doing everything right."

• "Maureen is doing great. I am really pleased."

• Christine was very impressed that Maureen was able to consume chicken noodle soup without any difficulty whatsoever.

• Djon asked whether or not if a straw or cup was clearly better to facilitate drinking. Christine said both options are good. It just depends on the person.

• Christine did not have anything else to suggest in terms of additional things we could do to further enhance Maureen's ability to chew and swallow.
