8:00 Maureen is still sleeping soundly.

8:30 No change.

9:00 Maureen is starting to move around, we’ll give her a little more time.

9:20 we raised the head of the bed so we can administer the LEVOTHYROXINE with some applesauce.

9:30 we lowered the bed and performed a clean and change of a medium wet diaper, no discharge was observed. Cavilon no sting barrier film was applied to the sacrum area, allowed to dry and a pea sized amount of CALAZINC was applied to the same area to promote healing … a picture will be attached,

Cavilon barrier cream was applied to the usual spots and a fresh diaper was put on.

The sacrum area is looking better than yesterday, already.

10:00 All dressed for the day, we transferred to the front room, I am giving Maureen some lemon flavored water while Marie fixes breakfast … egg, tomato and cheese scramble and cut up pear.

Maureen was given her LORATADINE, with a little applesauce.

NO MIRALAX OR PRUNE JUICE TODAY.

To this point in the day, Maureen has had about 16 ounces of lemon water. She coughed three times and we had to use the suction pump once.

11:10 a saline nebulizer treatment is given.

11:30 Facial and oral care are done.

11:45 We are transferring to the bedroom, Maureen is dry, so she is laying on her right side, for the first rest break. She fell asleep and we chose to not wake her.

2:00 Maureen woke up, but with the startled look on her face. We put the pulse oximeter on her finger and her oxygen was high 90’s but her heart rate was at 120 … we just kept her calm and talked softly to her, until she calmed down.

2:15 we saw that she was still dry, got her dressed and transferred to the front room for some lunch. Chicken Picata, that Carolyn brought over, was on the menu, along with 10 ounces of sparkling water.

There’s a marathon of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, movies on, she seems to be really enjoying them!

3:15 Oral care and cleanup are performed.

3:30 Transferred to the bedroom, we cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper and placed her on her left side … we’ll probably skip fruits or combine with a smaller dinner.
