Saturday, December 27 Daytime update

• 8:00 am- Maureen is sleeping, comfortably laying on her left side.

• 8:20 am- Maureen opened her eyes. She is calm and relaxed, no signs of distress.

• 8:30 am- Maureen closed her eyes again.

• 8:45 am- After sleeping for about 10 minutes, Maureen is awake now.

• 8:50 am- We raised the bed and administered 75 mcg of Levothyroxine with applesauce.

• 8:55 am- We started the day with changing a medium wet diaper. Cleaned Maureen and applied Sureprep barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on inner tights. Next we washed Maureen’s upper body. Dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

• 9:15 am- Maureen had 10 oz of lemon water.

• 9:20 am- Breakfast- scrambled eggs with onion, tomato, ham and cheese, piece of pear, 8 oz of prune juice. Maureen coughed once.

• 10:00 am- Administered 10 mg of Loratadin with applesauce.

• 10:05 am- Morning oral care.

• 10:10 am- Facial and hand care routine.

• 11:20 am- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first rest break. Diaper was dry. We positioned her facing the right side at 11:30 am.

• 12:20 pm- Maureen fell asleep so we extended the rest break. When she woke up we cleaned and changed her medium wet diaper, dressed and transferred her to the recliner.

• 12:35 pm- Lunch- shrimp salad, fresh tomato, half of avocado toast and 10 oz of coconut water. Maureen coughed once.

• 1:15 pm- Oral care.

• 1:55 pm- Maureen had 10 oz of electrolyte water.

• 2:30 pm- We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second rest break. Her diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed her. Positioned Maureen on her right side at 2:45 pm.

• 3:15 pm- Maureen’s second rest break ended. Her diaper was dry. We dressed her and headed to the front room.

• 3:40 pm- Fresh fruit snack- watermelon and pear. No coughs.

• Maureen consumed 38 oz of liquids today. Coughing was very minimal.
