6:35AM - Maureen has more or less been awake since this time.
6:45AM - Maya checked the moisture sensitive stripe on the diaper. It remains dry.
Maureen's day started by 8:05AM. She is very engaged and laughing. Her diaper was medium wet. Maya gave Maureen a comprehensive bed bath. She concluded by applying the 3M Cavilon Barrier Cream and No-Sting Barrier Film.
Pressure ulcer area update> The pressure ulcer area is almost completely healed at this point. Unless and/or until it degrades or a new pressure ulcer develops, this topic warrants no additional comment. See the attached images taken a few minutes ago.
Breakfast service began @ 8:39AM. Maya kicked things off by administering the thyroid medication. Maureen's posture in the geri chair is pretty upright—solid. Maureen only coughed 1-2 times during breakfast today. This was a welcome improvement over the past couple of days.
Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/2 cap with approximately 5 ounces of prune juice
9:09AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.
9:23AM - Morning oral care routine begins. The upper right gum area around the implant looks good. It is still a little red/inflamed but much improved.
9:30AM - Maya cleaned Maureen's eyelashes with Johnson's Baby Shampoo and warm water. She wrapped up by putting drops in both of Maureen's eyes.
10:20AM -Organic fruit smoothie.
10:52AM - Time to prepare for the first scheduled rest break to relieve pressure from Maureen's lower back. We took her to the bedroom. Diaper was medium wet. Maya perfumed a standard clean and change. We positioned Maureen on her right side.
11:06AM - Maureen is now positioned on her right side. She will remain in this position for one hour.
12:00PM - Rest time rapidly came to a close. Maya and I initiated the clean and change process. Maureen had a medium size formed bowel movement. Her diaper was medium wet. We then prepared for Kathy to arrive. She and Maya will shampoo and stye Maureen's hair today.
12:20PM - Kathy and Maya shampooed and styled Maureen's hair.
12:40PM -Maya put a fresh set of linens on Maureen's bed.
12:50PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 a tuna salad on toasted whole wheat, 1/2 a bowl of homemade lentil soup and a serving of butternut squash with cranberries. Maureen drank one 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water.
1:20PM - Afternoon oral care routine
1:50PM - Barb Cutro popped in for a very brief visit.
2:10PM - Maya determined Maureen's diaper was wet. We headed to the bedroom for a clean and change in advance of a visit from Maureen's Aunt Eileen and Carolyn.
