November 22 daytime update

• 6:35AM - Maureen is awake. She is chatting with herself from time to time.

• 6:40AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is dry.

• Maureen began her day @ 8:15AM. Maureen is rather chipper this morning. Diaper was light wet. We completed the standard clean and change and upper body wash processes. Maya applied a layer of 3M Cavilon No-Sting Barrier Film to the former pressure ulcer area. After assessing all of the upper body areas, we decided not to apply Nystatin Ointment to any of them.

• Breakfast service began @ 8:50AM. Maureen's posture in the geri chair is good. Her arms are positioned on the upper part of her torso. First order of business was to administer the thyroid medication. Maureen coughed five times during the breakfast service.

• Maureen will consume approximately 4 ounces of prune juice this morning.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

• 9:23AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.

• 9:33AM - Morning oral care routine. Upper right gum area looks good. It is slightly inflamed.

• 9:50AM - Eyelashes and drops.

• 10:30AM - Organic fruit smoothie. Maureen coughed only once while drinking the smoothie.

• 10:55AM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for rest break #1. The diaper was medium wet. Maya and I performed a clean and change and then proceeded to position Maureen on her left side.

• 11:10AM - Maureen will spend the next hour resting on her left side to relieve pressure on her lower back.

• 12:10PM - Rest period #1 concludes. Diaper was light wet. We perfumed a clean and change. Next stop was the kitchen for lunch.

• 12:35PM - Lunch - 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich on toasted whole wheat, a homemade soup prepared by Chef Michael Osel, a serving of green beans and one quarter of a sliced tomato. Maureen will also consume 12 ouches of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. Maureen coughed only once during lunch.

• 1:20PM - Afternoon oral care

• 1:55PM - We transported Maureen to the bedroom for Rest Break #2. The diaper was medium wet. Maya and I performed a standard clean and change and then placed Maureen on her right side.

• 2:08PM - Maureen is now resting on her right side for the next hour to relieve stress on her lower back.

• 3:08PM - Rest period #2 concludes. Diaper was light wet. Maureen has a very small formed bowel movement. After performing a clean and change, we headed to the front room to watch TPIR.

• 3:30PM - Afternoon fruit snack. Maureen coughed four times during the fruit snack.
