Monday November 13, 2023 Daytime update

  • 6:30am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left with Tom by her side. As per Tom, she woke up around 6:10am accepting sips of water via swab and went back to sleep.

  • 7:00am Maureen’s sleeping.

  • 7:20am Maureen opened her eyes and soon after startd twitching. Pulse reached 130, descending rapidly to 120s, and from then to low 100s within 8-10 minutes. Whole episode lasted about 12 minutes.

  • 8:20am Maureen is awake, we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine.

  • 8:30am Our day starts by giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Redness by her right armpit still visible, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Emily and I cleaned and changed a dry diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 8:50am Maureen is enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie, 8oz prune juice with 1/2 cap Miralax and 2 pieces of dry prune for breakfast. Coughed twice and sneezed three times during breakfast. Used suction pump once.

  • 9:20am Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.

  • Daily Miralax dosage:1/2 cap.

  • 9:30am Morning oral care.

  • 9:40am Eyes wash and eyes drops.

  • 9:50am Facial routine performed.

  • 10:00am Blood pressure: 110/70, P 68.

  • 10:15am Maureen’s snoozing. She’s very relaxed and her arms are down.

  • Carolyn visited and brought Maureen’s dinner!

  • 11:20am Maureen had 3/4 cup of lemon water.

  • 11:30am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first resting break. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side starting at 11:45.

  • 12:40pm First break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

  • 12:55pm Lunch: Tomato/potato soup, shrimp salad with fresh diced tomato, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. No coughs.

  • 1:30pm Oral care.

  • 1:45pm We take Maureen for walk around the neighborhood. She stayed awake an in good spirits the whole time!

  • 2:45pm Back home, Maureen had 1/3 cup of lemon water then we transferred t the bedroom for her second resting break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her left side at 3:00pm.

  • 3:35pm Second resting break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper. Dressed and headed Maureen to the front room.

  • 3:50pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack ( melon/pear/kiwi).
