6:35AM - Maureen is lightly stirring in bed. She is talking to herself a bit. Her diaper is dry.
Our day began at 8:15AM. Maureen is in good spirits. Her diaper was wet. Maya throughly cleaned Maureen with warm wipes from the purple packet.
Breakfast service began at 8:15AM. Maureen is listing to the left in the day chair. Maya used one of the green wedge pillows to straighten her posture.
Maureen will consume 1/2 glass of prune juice during the morning hours.
For the second day in a row, we noticed a much larger than normal buildup of gunk/blood in the area on and around the loose flipper tooth.
8:44AM - Morning medications administered—blood pressure pill and baby aspirin.
Nasal congestion is minimal. We will skip the Flonase.
9:20AM - Maureen is rapidly losing energy. Her engagement has significantly decreased. Brow is furrowed. She is now slumping forward and to the left.
9:35AM - We decided to move Maureen to the lift recliner because show slumping too far forward in the day chair. Maya checked Maureen's pull up just prior to the move. It is dry.
10:15AM - Smoothie time courtesy of Maya. Yes. It is 100% organic.
10:15AM to 12:35PM - Maureen spent the last two hours in the lift recliner. She slept on and off for very brief periods of time. Her energy level perked up after consuming her smoothie. Maya checked Maureen's pull up periodically during this it. It continues to be dry. Maureen has not urinated since at least 8:00AM.
12:35PM - Lunch
1:20PM - The artists known as KAMA, Kathy and Maya, will once again put on display their follicle folly by shampooing and styling Maureen's hair.
2:05PM - After Kathy and Maya finished creating their latest opus, we took Maureen into the bedroom for a change. Her pull up was wet. She did not move her bowels. Maya thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put a fresh pull up on her.
2:20PM - Sr. Roberta arrived to give Maureen her massage treatment. She noted a good amount of excess Vicks Vapor Rub between Maureen's toes—something that over time can lead to infection. She exhorted us to do whatever we can to help ensure the Vicks does not get between Maureen's toes.
