June 15 daytime update

  • 8:00am Maureen is sound asleep. She is lying on her left side. Tom says Maureen woke up around 7:00am and he proceeded to give her sips of water via swab.

  • 8:30am Maureen continues to sleep.

  • 9:00am Maureen stirs a bit but she continues to sleep.

  • 9:15am Maureen is now starting to wake.

  • 9:20am Tom and I helped Maureen to a sitting position in bed. Administered 75 mcg Levothyroxine with applesauce.

  • 9:35am Maureen’s diaper is heavy wet. There is a small amount of discharge present, no foul odor. It appears milky white in color. Tom and I performed a clean and change. Applied Cavilon barrier cream to appropriate areas and Cavilon barrier film to sacral area. We next washed Maureen’s upper body using warmed wipes from the purple packet. We dressed and headed to the front room via the Hoyer lift.

  • 10:00am Breakfast - omelet with 10 oz lemon water and banana. Maureen coughed 6 times and sneezed 4 times.

  • Daily miraLAX dosage - none

  • 10:51am 10mg Loratidine with applesauce.

  • 10:56am Oral care.

  • 11:00am Nebulizer treatment with saline solution.

  • 11:13am Morning facial routine.

  • 11:45am Deacon Andy is here for his weekly visit.

  • 11:55am We headed to the bedroom for rest break #1. Diaper is dry, no discharge noted. Maureen will lie on her right side for one hour starting at 12:02pm.

  • 1:02pm Maureen's diaper is dry. We headed to the front room via the Hoyer lift.

  • 1:20pm Lunch - Tuna salad sandwich, pickled beets, 8 oz sparkling water. Maureen coughed twice and sneezed once.

  • 1:52pm Oral care.

  • 2:00pm We headed to the bedroom for rest break #2. Maureen's diaper is dry. Maureen will lie on her left side for one hour starting at 2:10pm.

  • 3:10pm Maureen's diaper is heavy wet - Tom and I performed a clean and change. Small amount of cloudy discharge is present, no foul odor, no bleeding. We dressed and headed to the front room.

  • 3:20pm Fruit snack. Maureen coughed 3 times and sneezed 4 times.

  • 3:30pm Sister Roberta is here for Maureen's weekly treatment.

  • 5:00pm Dinner - hamburger with potato salad. 8 oz of water.

  • 6:00pm 5mg Olanzapine and 12.5mL Vimpat.

  • 6:10pm Oral care.

  • 6:20pm We headed to the bedroom for the night. Maureen's diaper is dry. we changed and applied Cavilon barrier cream. We next washed Maureen's upper and lower extremities and applied Cetaphil moisturizing lotion. Maureen is lying on her left side with two green wedge pillows secured behind her.
