Friday, July 18, 2025 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen sleeps peacefully lying on her left side.

• 8:30am Maureen still sleeps.

• 8:45am Maureen calmly woke up accepting of water via swab soon after. She coughed twice, suction pump used successfully both times.

• 8:55am Administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 9:00am Saline Neb treatment.

• 9:10am Blood pressure: 100/58, P:70, O2: 94.

• 9:15am Marianne and I started our day giving Maureen a full body bath using warm washcloth and Cetaphil cleanser, no redness on her body observed, however there is some redness and swelling under her left eye, pic taken. Clean/change a dry diaper with some brown spots and a small-yellowish vaginal discharge, applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. Noticed some flakes of skin by her coxis are, no redness whatsoever. Dressed and continued to wash her hair using ketoconazole shampoo, and then transferred to the kitchen.

• 9:30am Breakfast: 5oz lemon water, pancake with apple jam and pear, and 3oz of coffee. Maureen sounds very phlegmy and congested today. She coughed over six times, was sneezing and had runny nose while eating, suction pump used.

• No MiraLAX

• 10:35am Oral care.

• 10:45am Facial routine performed.

• 11:00am Just to avoid any more abrasion on the lower back, we take Maureen to the patio instead of going for a walk.

• Maureen was holding the water during breakfast and she’s not taking any before her break.

• 11:40am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper is dry, positioned on her right side.

• 12:40pm First break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 12:55pm Pulse: 65, O2: 96.

• Lunch: Chicken and rice soup (blended) with avocado, and 10oz of root beer, by tablespoon. Maureen coughed four times and sneezed once, suction pump used once.

• 1:50pm Oral care.

• 2:10pm Kattie, RN arrives for Maureen’s Recertification. She took a listen to Maureen’s lungs and they are clear.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper and a medium-formed BM; positioned on her right side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the living room.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/apple/banana) and 6oz lemon water.

• Total liquids ingested: 24oz.
