Friday July 12, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen’s asleep. She opened her eyes recently and went back to sleep soon after.

• 8:30am Maureen’s sleeping.

• 9:00am Maureen woke up 15 minutes ago and accepted sips of water via swab. Now, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 9:10am Merianne and I started the day by giving Maureen an upper body bath using warmed purple wipes, no redness observed. Clean/change a medium wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier film to sacrum, barrier cream to inner thighs area. No vaginal discharge present. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 9:30am Breakfast: A cup of lemon water, oatmeal/blueberries pancake with pear, coffee and 6oz prune juice with 1/2 cup miralax. Coughed twice, suction pump used once.

• 10:00am Administered 10mg loratadine with apple sauce.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/2 cap

• 10:20am Oral care.

• 10:30am Facial routine performed.

• 10:40am We take Maureen out for a walk around the neighborhood. She stayed awake all the way.

• 11:10am Albuterol and saline Neb treatment..

• 11:35 Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper it’s dry, positioned on her right side.

• 12:35pm First break ends. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, no vaginal discharge observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 12:50pm Lunch: Grilled roasted turkey and cheese sandwich, guacamole, full cup lemonade and peach milkshake for dessert. Coughed twice.

• 1:40pm Blood pressure: 108/65, P 77.

• 1:45pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen sits relaxed and well awake listening to her playlist. So far today, coughing had been minimal.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, positioned on her left then inserted a suppository.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Clean/change a dry diaper with an Extra large-soft BM. Dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/apple/banana) and 3/4 cup of lemon water.
