Friday, Aug. 1, 2025 - Daytime Update

8:00AM - Maureen's sleeping soundfully, head of bed elevated - O2 Saturation at 92% room air.

8:30AM - She's still sleeping.

8:50AM - Maureen woke up and was coughing, suctioned to assist taking out the phlegm. She went back to close her eyes after.

9:30AM - Maureen's still sleeping, we switched her position to face the right side. Eyes remained closed. O2 at 90% room air.

9:50AM - Maureen slightly opened her eyes and eventually fall back to sleep again.

Power is out, unable to use suction machine or the portable O2 machine.

10:30AM - Maureen had episodes of coughing - she's very phlegmy and congested. We placed her on the side so she can cough up the phlegm on her own.

Me and Dalia decided that too much moving while doing bed bath might cause her more distress and coughing - we will probably do it later when she settles down from coughing. We washed her upper body using the purple wipes, diaper was heavy wet with small, yellowish v. discharge. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and cream on inner thighs. We dressed and moved to the front room.

11:00AM - O2 at 87% room air. We started to give her O2 via tank at 2L/min - Maureen's O2 sat now at 94%.

Administered 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

11:15AM - Maureen took 8oz of lemon water and banana. Coughed 3x.

Administered 10mg of Loratadine with apple sauce.

**We will give her soup once she relaxes and gains her strength after coughing in between feeding and drinking liquid.

11:30AM - Administered 5ml expectorant and 500mg acetaminophen (crushed) with apple sauce.

11:40AM - Oral care.

Facial and hand care routine after.

Maureen closed her eyes for a nap, O2 sat at 92%.

12:30PM - Neb treatment with Albuterol.

12:50AM - Lunch - a bowl of chicken-veggie soup, 8oz sparkling water. Coughed 3-4x, used suction machine.

1:45AM - Oral care.

2:00PM - We transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her rest break. Diaper was clean and dry, we placed to face her right side. O2 at 92% room air

**Generator was set up so we can use the Neb treatment, operate the recliner and suction machine.

3:00PM - Carolyn arrived.

3:30PM - Rest break ended. Diaper was dry with very small, brownish v. discharge. We cleaned and changed her. Got dressed and transferred to the front room.

3:45PM - Fruit snack time (apple, banana and melon). O2 Sat at 94% via nasal cannula.
