February 3 daytime update

  • 6:30AM - Maureen is awake

  • 6:40AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is wet.

  • 8:05AM - As we were preparing to start getting Maureen ready for the day, she fell back asleep.

  • Maureen began her day @ 8:41AM. She is in very good form—alert, engaged and chatty. We first tilted the bed to 90 degrees and have her some sips of cool water. Diaper was medium wet. We completed a clean & change using all three 3M Cavilon products where appropriate. Lastly, Maya used Aloe Vesta Cleansing foam to clean underneath the arms, under the breasts and the inner elbow. We did not denitrify any redness.

  • Breakfast service began @ 9:15AM. Posture in the geri chair is good. Maureen's eyes are wide open. She is actively engaging Maya. Maya gave Maureen a teaspoon of Manuka Honey and immediately followed that up with the thyroid medication in a small amount of applesauce.

  • Maureen will consume 4 ounces of prune juice the morning.

  • Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

  • General observations @ 9:26AM> 1) Maureen is less congested and 2) The sound of her coughs indicates that the congestion is loosening. She already had one phlegmy cough this morning.

  • 9:38AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication with a tiny bit of applesauce.

  • 9:41AM - Maureen started uttering a slight low moan/groan.

  • 9:45AM - Maya administered a dose of the generic Robitussin in the brown bottle.

  • 9:47AM - Maya gave Maureen a dose of Arm & Hammer Simply Saline Nasal Mist.

  • 9:50AM - Morning oral care routine

  • 10:00AM -Eyelash cleaning and eye drops

  • 10:04AM - Morning facial treatment including arms and hands

  • 10:15AM - Low moan/groan has stopped

  • 10:35AM - Organic fruit smoothie

  • 10:50AM - Maureen feel asleep in the geri chair

  • Vitals @ 11:00AM: Heart: 80, Oxygen: 99 and Temperature: 98.4

  • 11:12AM - Maureen woke up. We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. The diaper was medium wet. Maureen had a very small soft bowel movement. After completing a thorough clean & change, we set Maureen up on her left side.

  • 11:28AM - Rest Break # 1 begins

  • 12:15PM - Rest Break #1 concludes.

  • 12:28PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 of a tuna salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread, 1/2 a bowl of split pea and chicken soup and a serving of green beans. Maureen will also drink one 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. And last but not least, Maureen will enjoy a small serving of rice pudding for dessert.

  • 1:08PM - Maya administered a dose of the generic Robitussin in the brown bottle.

  • 1:10PM - Maya gave Maureen a dose of Arm & Hammer Simply Saline Nasal Mist.

  • 1:14PM - Afternoon oral care.

  • 1:47PM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #2. Diaper was light wet. After performing a clean & change, we placed Maureen on her right side.

  • 2:01PM - Rest Break #2 begins

  • 2:55PM - Rest Break #2 ends. Diaper is medium wet. Maureen had a large soft bowel movement. After we thoroughly cleaned and changed Maureen, it was off to the front room for the remainder of the afternoon.

  • 3:15PM - Afternoon fruit snack
