6:40AM - Maureen's eyes are open. She is lying in bed peacefully—just made herself laugh.
7:30AM - Maureen remains awake and lying peacefully in bed. She is moving her arms and legs about a bit.
Our day officially began @ 8:01AM. Maureen was alert and somewhat engaged. Both of were arms were positioned tightly against the upper part of her body—hand/fingers curled tightly up as well. Her diaper was wet. Djon thoroughly cleaned her with warm wipes from the purple packet. No red marks were present.
Breakfast service began @ 8:20AM. Djon administered the thyroid pill just before food service began. Maureen's posture after we placed her in the geri chair is good. We inserted green wedge pillows on each side of her for support.
Maureen will consume 1/2 cup of undiluted prune juice this morning.
There is one small speck of sleep/gunk in one of the left eyelashes—nothing in the right eyelashes.
8:32AM - Maureen's energy is decent this morning. Her eyes are not completely open. She has nodded off three times since we started breakfast.
8:38AM Vitals: Oxygen: 98, Pulse: 80 and Temperature: 97.5. We had a couple of inconsistent reading with the thermometer. I installed a new set of Duracell batteries. The 97.5 reading was taken after the new batteries were installed.
8:45AM - To this point in the morning, Maureen has uttered the low moan/groan twice.
9:05AM - Maureen coughed 4-5 times during breakfast this morning. This is definitely greater than normal.
9:06AM - Djon administered the blood pressure pill and the baby aspirin.
GENERAL OBSERVATION> Maureen has been holding water in her mouth more frequently since Sunday.
9:30 Vitals: Oxygen: 98, Pulse: 94 and Temperature: 98.4 (two @ 98.4 and one @ 98.5)
10:30AM - Organic fruit smoothie time
10:56AM - Maureen nodded off briefly on several more occasions in the last 90 minutes.
11:09AM - Djon determined that Maureen's pull up was wet. We headed to the bathroom since it has been several days since Maureen has a medium to large bowel movement. She had a large/very large formed bowel movement almost immediately as soon as we sat her down on the commode. We waited 10 minutes in total. Maureen did not urinate in the toilet. Djon thoroughly cleaned her and put on a fresh pull up. There were no red marks on her posterior.
12:44PM Vitals: Oxygen: 98, Pulse: 76 and Temperature: 98.5
Lunch service began @ 12:45PM. Djon prepared a ham on toasted whole wheat sandwich, a small serving of Mostaccioli and a bowl of homemade chicken soup with peas and carrots. She will also drink 1 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. Maureen's posture in the Geri chair is relatively good. She is tilting a bit to the left. We Energy is decent. Her eyes are not wide open. Arms/hands are now a little bit lower on her torso—not quite as tight. Engagement level is mediocre. She is looking off in the distance a bit.
12:59PM - Maureen has perked somewhat as lunch prowesses. Her eyes are more wide open. She swore alert and engaged.
1:15PM - We had a nice FaceTime chat with Maya for approximately 20 minutes. She extends her best wishes to everyone here. It is our intention to conduct the next FaceTime session when both Tom and Carolyn are home so that they can participate.
2:15PM - Djon determined the pull up was wet. Since Maureen had a large/very large BM at 11:09AM this morning, we decided to bring her to the bedroom to be cleaned and changed. There were no red marks on her posterior. We proceed to take Maureen to the lift recliner for some R&R.
