Wednesday October 4, 2023 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen’s asleep lying on her left with Tom by her side.

• 7:00am Maureen opened her eyes earlier, accepted sips of water via swab then went back to sleep.

• 7:30am Maureen’s in and out of sleep

• 8:00am She’s still sleepy.

• 8:40am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised her bed head and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine pill with apple sauce.

• 8:50am Our day starts. Marianne and I performed a full bed body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta, cleaned and changed a md wet diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. No redness observed. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.

• 9:10am Maureen is enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie with 1tbs flaxseeds, 8oz prune juice and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. She coughed three times, used suction pump.

• 9:35am Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

• 9:40am Morning oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine.

• 10:10am It’s a nice day for a walk, we take Maureen out and go around the neighborhood. She seems to enjoy the ride, snoozing at the end.

• Maureen had 1/2 cup of lemon water back home.

• 11:00am Ann,RN is here for Maureen’s weekly visit.

Ann recommend and Tom agreed that Maureen takes 1/4 cap of Miralax besides the flaxseeds, starting today, to help her go on her own.

• 11:20am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her right side starting at 11:35.

• 12:25pm First break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair then headed to the kitchen.

• 12:45pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for Maureen’s comfort.

• 1:00pm Lunch: Brussels sprouts soup, grilled chicken salad w/tomato/cucumber on the side, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt with 1/4 cap Miralax. No coughs.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap.

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• 2:20pmTransferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed. Positioned on her Lt side at 2:35.

• 3:20pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper, dressed and headed Maureen to the living area.

• 3:40pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melons/pear). Had 1/2 cup of lemon water with it. Coughed once.
