Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024 - Daytime Update

7:00AM - Maureen was still sleeping when we came in, she was lying on her left side.


7:15AM - Maureen woke up already. We waited 10mins and administered 75mcg of Levothyroxine with apple sauce.


7:30AM - Me and Joanna started to wash Maureen's upper body with warm purple wipes. No redness/rashes on skin. Diaper was dry with very small (spot) bright red blood, we cleaned and changed her. Applied Cavilon barrier film on sacrum and Cavilon cream on folds. We finished dressing and took Maureen to the kitchen.


7:40AM - Breakfast - 8oz of prune juice, Activia, and oatmeal fruit smoothie. Maureen had half a cup of lemon water. Coughed once.


**Administered 10mg of Loratadine with smoothie.


8:00AM - Oral care.


Then, we proceed to go to Carolyn's to stay for today and until tomorrow morning.


8:40AM - Arrived and settled down at Carolyn's.


9:20AM - Maureen had 3/4 orange juice with 1 cap of MiraLAX.


9:45AM - Went out for a walk.


10:50AM - Came back at Carolyn's after a nice walk. The weather outside is very good. Maureen was awake the entire walk - enjoyed the change of surroundings.


**Maureen had half a cup of lemon water.


11:10AM - Kelsie, RN arrived for Maureen's regular nursing visit. Lungs clear, not a lot of abdominal sounds heard. Her arm and leg circumference were the same as previous, 33cm and 36cm, respectively. She also checked Maureen's vaginal discharge (blood).


Vitals:

T - 97.9

P - 80 bpm

BP - 100/64


11:35AM - We placed Maureen to the bedroom for her 1st rest break. Diaper was still dry with very light vaginal discharge (bright red-blood). We cleaned and changed her, and position to face her right side.


12:35PM - 1st rest break ended. Diaper was medium wet with very light bloody discharge. We cleaned and changed her, dressed and transferred to the kitchen.


12:45PM - Lunch - broccoli cheddar soup, turkey, cheese and tomato. Maureen finished a cup of sparkling water. No coughs.


1:30PM - Administered 1 Dulcolax (stool softener) liquid gel as agreed by Nurse Kelsie and Carolyn.


1:45PM - Oral care.


2:00PM - We reclined the wheelchair a little bit and Maureen was sitting comfortably - awake.


2:30PM - We moved Maureen to the bedroom for her 2nd rest break. Diaper was heavy wet with a very small spot of blood discharge. We cleaned and changed her, and position to face her left side.


3:35PM - 2nd rest break ended. Diaper was clean and dry, no bloody discharges. We finished dressing and transferred to the front room.


3:45PM - Fruit snack time (kiwi, pear and melon).
