Wednesday May 22, 2024 Daytime update

  • 8:00am Maureen is closing her eyes again. Tom tells, she had a mild episode waking up around 7:15am, accepted sips of water afterward.

  • 8:30am Maureen is sleeping.

  • 8:45am Maureen is awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

  • 8:50am Joanna and I started the day giving Maureen a full body bath using damp washcloth and Cetaphil cleanser, applied a thin layer of nystatin to redness spot by her right armpit. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 9:15am Breakfast starts with half sliced banana and a cup of lemon water followed by a fruit/oatmeal smoothie with Greek yogurt, 10 minutes after.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

  • 9:50am Oral care and facial routine performed.

  • 10:00am Ann, RN arrives for Maureen’s weekly visit:

Lungs are clear

Temp: 97.3

BP: 100/64

Pulse: 76

  • 10:30am Meaghan, SW arrives for an evaluation visit.

  • 11:00 Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper with a Medium-soft BM, then positioned on her right side.

  • 12:10pm First break ends. Diaper is dry, dressed and headed to the kitchen.

  • 12:25pm Lunch: Chicken soup, shrimp salad, fresh tomato, full cup of sparkling water and rice pudding for dessert. Maureen coughed once during lunch.

  • Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

  • 1:10pm Oral care.

  • 1:30pm Maureen is sitting awake and alert listening to her playlist.

  • Maureen had 3/4 cup of lemon later

  • 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Clean/change a heavy wet diaper, then positioned on her left side.

  • 3:30pm Second break ends. Clean/change a medium wet diaper, dressed and headed to the living area.

  • 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/apple/banana).
