Wednesday January 3, 2024 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen sleeps on her left with Tom next to her. He later informs that Maureen’s been in and out of sleep since 5. accepted sips of water earlier.

• 7:00am Maureen’s closing her eyes from time to time.

• 8:00am Maureen’s awake. At 8:15am, we raised her bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:25am Our day starts giving Maureen a full body bath with warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Maria and I cleaned and changed a dry diaper, some vaginal discharge noticed, then applied Cavilon barrier and cream. No redness observed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:45am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice with 1/2 cap Miralax, coffee w/cream, 1/2 Danish pastry and couple spoons Greek yogurt. Coughed once, suction pump used.

• 9::00am Administered 10mg Loratadine with yogurt.

• Daily Miralax dosage: 1/2 cap.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:15am Morning oral care.

• 9:30am Saline Neb treatment. Maureen’s throat has been rumbling with phlegm.

• 9:40am Facial routine.

• Maureen seats with relaxed arms listening to her music collection.

• 10:30am Maureen napped for about 20 minutes.

• 10:55am She had a cup of lemon water.

• 11:00am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Cleaned and changed a md wet diaper , no vaginal discharge noticed. Positioned on the right side starting at 11:15.

• 11:15am Ann, RN arrives for Maureen’s weekly visit.

• 12:00m First resting break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair then headed to the kitchen.

• 12:20pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 12:30pm Lunch: Veggies soup, turkey ham/cheese salad, diced tomato, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen sneezed once, didn’t cough during meal.

• 1:10pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen sits alert and fully awake. She’s been verbal and smiley today;).

• 2:15pm She had half cup of ginger tea.

• 2:20pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper and positioned on her left at 2:35.

• 3:20pm Second break ends. Diaper was md wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:40pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). No coughs, sneezed once.
