Wednesday January 10, 2024 Daytime update

• 6:30am Maureen ’s opening her eyes, accepting sips of water soon after. She is lying on her left.

• 7:00am Maureen is sleepy.

• 7:30am She’s receptive to sips of water via swab.

• 8:20am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised her bed and administered 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:30am Our day starts giving Maureen a fu body bath using warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta, cleaned and changed a dry diaper and applied Cavilon barrier and cream. A slight redness under right arm remains, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:50am Administered 50mg Senna plus with apple sauce and a cup of lemon water.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:05am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice, oatmeal/fruit smoothie and couple spoons of Greek yogurt. Coughed twice, suction pump used.

• 9:20am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.

• No Miralax, 50mg Senna plus instead.

• 9:40 am Morning oral care.

• 9:50am Facial routine performed.

• 10:00am Maureen is napping on the chair.

• 10:30am Maureen’s throat still rumbles with phlegm she’s not been able to cough out. A saline Neb treatment is given to help.

• 11:00am Maureen had half cup of lemon water.

• 11:10am Ann, RN came for Maureen’s weekly visit:

• 11:30am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break.Cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper and a Medium-soft BM. Positioned on her right side at 11:45.

• 12:35pm First resting period ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and continued to wash Maureen’s hair then transferred to the kitchen.

• 12:50pm Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• 1:00pm Lunch: Chicken/veggies soup, chicken salad, avocado, full cup of coconut water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Coughed once.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch during lunch, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 1:40pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen’s been awake the whole time while listening to music. She had 2/3 cup of lemon water in the meantime.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Cleaned and changed a heavy wet diaper and positioned on her left side starting at 2:45.

• Maureen was closing her eyes from time to time during break.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi). No coughs.
