Wednesday April 3, 2024 Daytime update

• 8:00am Maureen is waking up now. As per Tom, she’s been in and out of sleep since and accepting sips of water via swab since 7:00am.

• 8:20am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.

• 8:25am Our day starts giving Maureen a full body bath using a damp towel and Cetaphil skin cleanser. Merianbe and I cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper with warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta, applied Cavilon barrier film to the sacrum and barrier cream to inner thighs. We noticed a red spot by her left armpit, applied a thin layer of nystatin. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 8:50am Administered one 50mg Senna plus pill with apple sauce and a cup of lemon water.

• 9:00am Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.

• 9:15am Breakfast: 8oz prune juice, oatmeal /fruit smoothie with couple spoons of Greek yogurt. Maureen coughed once.

• 9:30am Administered 10mg loratadine with smoothie.

• No Miralax, Senna plus instead.

• 9:45am Oral care performed.

• 9:55am Facial routine.

• 10:30am Maureen sits relaxed and awake watching an old movie.

• Carolyn arrives to wait for Nurse Ann’s visit.

• 11:00am Ann, RN arrived for Maureen’s weekly visit. Maeghan, SW was also here. Lungs area clear BP: 92/60 Pulse: 86 Arm cir: 25.5 cm As part of Maureen’s re-evaluation, measurement of her arm (left) was taken.
  

• 11:15am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was dry with a Large-soft BM, cleaned and changed then positioned on her right side.

• 12:20pm First break ends. Diaper was medium wet, cleaned and changed. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:35pm Lunch: Chicken noodle soup with crackers, full cup of coconut water and rice pudding for dessert. Maureen coughed three times and nose was runny during meal.

• Reclined Geri chair one notch during lunch, Maureen was leaning forward.

• 1:20pm Oral care.

• 2:00pm Maureen sits awake while listening to her playlist. She had half cup of lemon water in the meantime.

• 2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second resting break. Diaper was heavy wet, cleaned and changed, then positioned on her left side.

• 3:30pm Second break ends. Cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper, dressed and headed to the living area.

• 3:45pm Maureen is enjoying her fruit snack (melon/pear/kiwi).
