8:00am Maureen is sleepy, lying on her left. Tom tells, she’s been in and out of sleep since 6:30.
8:30am Maureen seems fully awake, we raised the bed to administer 75mcg Levothyroxine with apple sauce.
8:35am Our day starts giving Maureen a full body bath using a wet washcloth and Cetaphil cleanser, no redness observed. Joanna and I cleaned and changed a medium wet diaper, applied Cavilon barrier film to the sacrum and barrier cream to inner thighs. Dressed and continued to wash her hair, then headed to the kitchen.
Maureen had a cup of lemon water.
9:00am Blow dry and styled Maureen’s hair.
Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.
9:15am Breakfast: 6oz prune juice and an oatmeal/fruit smoothie. Coughed twice.
9:25am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.
No Miralax.
9:40am Oral care.
9:50am Facial routine performed.
10:00am Maureen is awake watching a Disney movie.
Carolyn arrives to be present during the nurse visit.
11:00am Ann, RN arrived for Maureen’s weekly visit:
Lungs are clear
Temp: 97.2
Pulse: 72
BP: 100/62
Update: Ann suggested, and family agreed to only take Maureen’s BP, in the morning, once a day.
11:20am Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s first resting break. Diaper was medium wet with a Small-soft BM, cleaned and changed, then positioned on her right side.
12:30pm First break ends. Cleaned and changed a medium wet day with a Medium-soft BM. Dressed and headed to the kitchen.
12:45pm Lunch: Sweet peas soup, chicken salad, fresh tomato, full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed once during meal.
Reclined Geri chair during meal, Maureen was leaning forward.
1:20pm Oral care.
2:00pm Maureen’s sitting relaxed and awake listening to her playlist.
Maureen had half cup of lemon water.
2:30pm Transferred to the bedroom for Maureen’s second Second break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the living area.
3:30pm Second break ends. Diaper was dry, dressed and headed to the living room.
3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon/apple/banana).
