Ann took Maureen's vitals. All was normal.
We discussed the bowel movement situation with Ann. After reviewing the BM logs for the last two weeks, Ann instructed us to begin administering two Senna pills per day. She said to stop the administration of the Senna if Maureen's stool gets loose or if she has an abnormally large number of bowel movements in a single day—Ann cited the number 6.
Our supply of Senna is low. Ann ordered a new bottle for us.
If the Senna is not working in the next 24-48 hours, Ann suggested we transition to Senna S.
Ann said, "If things do not open up by Sunday, we should use a suppository."
I asked Ann to assess the oxygen tanks. We determined they had expired. Ann ordered a new set of tanks that will most likely arrive tomorrow.
Ann is not the permanent replacement. Maureen will be cared for by a team of two JourneyCare nurses for the foreseeable future.
I asked Ann about scheduling an appointment for next week. She asked us to wait a few days.
